Miles Electric Vehicles' High-Speed Sedan

Miles Electric is a relatively new automobile manufacturer from California that specializes in compact, low-speed electric vehicles.

Many military and government agencies, as well as universities, use these “green-fuel cars” because of their efficiency and less harmful effect on the environment.

The company has already added dealers in Glenwood Springs and Denver, with plans to expand to 180 dealers nationwide.

Miles Electric has recently launched its high-speed sedan in an effort to promote its energy-efficient vehicle and attract an even greater number of consumers.

Affordable Price Point

The Miles Electric Vehicles’ High-Speed Sedan is a four-door family sedan that is very similar to the Toyota Camry in terms of price and features. This model, the XS 500, is estimated to retail for less than $30,000.

The vehicle should be available on the market by late 2008, even though orders are already being taken. The chief executive of Miles Automotive, Jeff Boyd, describes this innovative model as “an everyday, user-friendly and safe vehicle that people can be proud to own.”

Solid Performance

The chassis of the Miles Electric Vehicles’ High-Speed Sedan was manufactured in China, and it gains power from a lithium ion battery.

This type of vehicle is called a battery electric vehicle or BEV because it runs on chemical energy stored in batteries located on-board. Drivers can travel 120 to 125 miles on a full charge, which is definitely an impressive feat. The company claims that a complete charge will require approximately 6 hours.

If speed is your concern, this sedan lives up to its “high-speed” name; it will reach peak speeds of approximately 85 mph. Improvements in the technology used in the vehicle’s lithium ion battery enable it to travel longer and faster than previous electric cars.

Cost-Saving Benefits

If you factor in the current cost of electricity and gasoline, the vehicle will average approximately 125 miles per gallon. Owners of the Miles Electric Vehicles’ High-Speed Sedan will also benefit from further savings in terms of maintenance costs; this model contains 90 percent fewer parts than a traditional internal combustion engine. Energy-efficient alternatives like this vehicle can result in significant annual savings for drivers.

Comfortable & Classy

Fortunately, drivers don’t have to sacrifice visual appeal or comfort for the cost-saving and environmental advantages offered by this vehicle. The Miles Electric Vehicles’ High-Speed Sedan is an attractive model that features a GPS, power doors and classy leather interior.
