The 2007 Volvo S80

One of the latest luxury cars that came out this year is the Volvo S80. It is the second generation on the Volvo S80 series. Volvo unveiled its first pictures on January 31, 2006.

They upgraded all features of the car from its first generation. They combined the traditional Volvo lines with high-tech safety features to the second generation S80. And the first actual model was unveiled on February 28, 2006 during the Geneva Motor Show and sales begun since June 2006.

It also has the world first available Personal Car Communicator (PCC) with heartbeat sensor. Although it’s only an additional feature of the car it is fairly new and very handy at times. The PCC tells you when your car is lock or unlock and the heartbeat sensor can alert you if there’s an intruder inside your car. And there’s no need to manually unlock your car because the PCC unlocks it for you when you approach your car.

Additional safety features includes a new side-impact airbags that have separate chambers for hips and chest. Also has a collapsible steering wheel and swiveling headlamps. With adaptive cruise control and the hydraulic brakes assist to enhance the anti-lock breaks.

The interior of the vehicle has a lot to offer also. It has great finish on the instrumental panel. All the curves are smoothly done.

The center contains the controls for the audio and climate with a menu-system screen on top of the pile.
