The 2008 Pagani Zonda R Clubsport – A Dream on Wheels

Dreaming of owning the 2008 Pagani Zonda R Clubsport? Dreams may be all you! This Supercar has a Superprice tag of over one million dollars, but if speed is your game, this is the car for you.

And what a car it is! From Pagani, the exotic Italian car manufacturer, comes yet another one of a kind Supercar to stop people in their tracks.

It’s the kind of car that grabs the eyeballs of people who suppress a yawn when they hear of the latest Ferrari or Lamborghini because they find these a dime a dozen today. Pagani has just the one model – the Zonda.

The first one was introduced in 1999 and to date, only around a hundred cars have been sold. Only about ten of the Zonda R will be produced.

From this center of high design and careful, unique styling and engineering comes the new model, the car people have been waiting for.

It is being pitched to take on the Ferrari Enzo Fxx and Maserati MC12 on the tracks. It took Nürburgring in 7:32.

The news is that this super looking, super driving, super handling car is powered by a 750-hp Mercedes V12 engine with 523 lb-ft of torque provided by the Mercedes-Benz tuner from its AMG division.

It’s a light, lean, mean model and is low slung with a longer wheelbase for stability. Will it be good at fast cornering? You know it will. The Pagani Zonda is not a street car, it is strictly a racing car and will never be let loose on the highway.

The car is made of light carbon fiber –from the body, the giant rear wings, the diffusers and the spoilers. Using the carbon fiber keeps the total weight of the car at Pagani Zonda's wheelbase is just a bit longer than the older models to ensure stability.

A new one piece spoiler adds not only to the super look of the car, but helps to lessen the drag that had been caused by the two piece spoilers of old. Like the other Paganis, there are four pipes in the rear of the car, arranged at the center for the exhaust gasses to be released.

It could just be the most sleek, svelte and powerful racehorse among racing cars and it has the exotic looking exterior as well as the stunning interiors to run away with this honor.

Inside, the Digitek instrumentation shows all the necessary information and the telemetry is so sophisticated with sensors monitoring every aspect of the car’s functioning at any point of time that it is running.

The price is whispered to be in excess of $1.2 million.
