This car combines the dual fuel standard system which can run on hydrogen or gasoline with a hybrid system.

Currently, Mazda is progressing with the actual development of this particular concept car as the new and improved Mazda Premacy Hydrogen RE and they are also planning to begin commercial leasing next year.

The new model is going to use a new style hybrid system which is going to offer performance that has been greatly enhanced as well as driving range. When you look at the Mazda Premacy Hydrogen RE as a hybrid vehicle, you will see that it has stronger torque feel which adds to the overall driving experience.

In an effort to actually achieve environmental performance on the superior level, the Mazda Premacy Hydrogen RE employs the results of the latest and wide ranging R&D. The car parts on the Premacy Hydrogen RE are made from the plastics that have been made from plant origins.

When you look at all of the different factors of the car, you will see that Mazda is really committed to the future developments that are going to be made to the engine that is hydrogen rotary. Mazda also has accepted the challenge of aiming for the goal of maintaining a balance between the motoring pleasure and the safety imperatives and environmental imperatives.

When you look at the majority of environment friendly vehicles, most of them tend to be very small or very expensive or both. What Mazda has done is to make alternate energy not just practical but good to own as well. This minivan can seat five and has got speed, comfort and style built into it. That is probably what is going to make it viable for the company from a commercial point of view as well.

Let’s just look at the hydrogen engine in greater detail. Firstly, the rotary engine is suited to the use of hydrogen. There is no backfiring because there are separate combustion and intake chambers and thanks to the chambers being large, more than one injector can be used and this results in better efficiency.

Battery power is used to start up and pull away and then it is over to hydrogen power. The driver can make the switch from one to the other by just twisting a dial.

New age motors? Well, with Mazda, it looks like the future is already here!
