Lexus has a philosophy that believes in the quest for excellence.
It looks to provide its customers products of a very high quality where the customer has the best in comfort and the best in the thrill factor of driving a Lexus.
Along with the SUV, Lexus is also showcasing its premium two-seater sports car at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show. This is the production version of the V-10 LF-A super car.
At the 40th Tokyo Motor Show, Lexus is looking to display what looks like the new version of the RX400h. Two cars will be on display, one of which is a specialty SUV called the LF-XH that is based on the design philosophy of Lexus, L-finesse and it comes with an operationally superior hybrid system.
This vehicle is a great combination of an elegant interior with a powerful body and the hybrid system ensures high fuel efficiency, a quietly powerful performance and of course is low on the emissions.
The four-wheel drive has at its command a V6 gasoline engine and a high-output electric motor hybrid system. The total length of the vehicle is 4,800mm, width 1,895mm height 1,650mm and the wheelbase is 2,850mm.
This V-6 LF-XH hybrid looks like the present RX but it has a lower roof line giving it an aggressive look and stance.
In this version, the grill is more exaggerated, the front fenders and the wheel base more pronounced.
Then there is what is generally called tricks of a show car like cameras in place of exterior mirrors, no handles on the door and no roof rack.
While the styling looks generic, the interior is too futuristic so one should probably not expect to see it in production. This is being touted as a probable new look for the next vehicle where some of the styling should make its way to the final product.
So finally what you have is a SUV which has a body a little longer and wider than today’s car, but at a full 40mm lower it indicates that the Japanese are very serious about the impending versions of the half 4x4 and the half coupe BMW X6.
The next version is sure to build on the present 400hp because it is a known thing that the 4x4s are going to be phased out along with the petrol electric power packs and this will make way for the new LF-Xh complete with the V6 and electric motors.
The SUV hybrid looks like a trailer so buyers are ready for the newer more expressive and angular model. If Lexus follows its standard practice then the new model will be seen in 2009. It’s all about concepts that are not only ahead of time but also those which will appear post production.
