The Suzuki Sx4

The Suzuki Sx4 is one of the best kept secrets in the auto industry according to Autobytel’s Editors’ Choice Awards.

Making its debut in India on May 7th, 2007, the Japanese Suzuki Sx4 with its sleek design, ample space, and unprecedented comfort wooed those in attendance.

This all-wheel-drive wagon that sells for a very affordable price can not only tote you and four of your favourite people, but it has hauling abilities and has the confidence driven 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Other specs that make the Suzuki Sx4 so great is its 143 hp 2.0-liter, L4, 16-valve, DOHC engine with 61.69 kg of torque.

These cars obviously have a lot of muscle under the hood, but add in a 5-speed manual transmission, 3-mode intelligent all-wheel-drive system, and a 4-wheel antilock brake system and you have control over all of that strength in a very attractive and affordable package.

By this point you are thinking that the Suzuki Sx4 is very worthy of the prestigious award it has won and you are right, but it has not gotten the attention it deserves from prospective buyers. The Suzuki Sx4 has not undergone heavy marketing by its maker due to lack of heavy production since it was originally meant to be a European car, but the demand for the Suzuki Sx4 is rising with launches in North America, Japan, and India.

Yet amongst the 2008 car models, the Suzuki Sx4 unveiled its new personality in the form of a sedan and made its debut at the Geneva Auto Show earlier this year. The 2008 model is expected to reach a higher demand than the previous 2007 model and Suzuki is prepared to step up production as a result.

The 2008 Suzuki Sx4 just might put Suzuki on the map as far as auto sales go. Up until this point, Suzuki has more or less been on the backburner of auto sales due to marketing deficiencies, but via its North American debut in New York it became well known that this car would create a confusing non-love triangle with the Toyota Corolla and the Honda Civic.

This ‘butting of heads’ just might give Suzuki the shot it needs to make itself a well-known car maker rather than being known for the motorcycles it has manufactured for many years. This puts a lot of stress on the tiny Suzuki Sx4.

So with this said, when encountering a Suzuki Sx4, don’t ignore it. This clever design with a load of features that include remote keyless entry, power windows, power door locks and mirrors, 60/40 split-folding rear seatbacks, and a 4-speaker XM-ready audio system can make life with the Suzuki Sx4 rather convenient.

It is affordable, has average gas consumption, and is roomy. Hopefully, with an increase in public education regarding this handy little car the Suzuki Sx4 will make a splash in its markets because, although this car comes in an attractive package, that doesn’t mean it can’t pack a punch.
