Toyota FJ Cruiser

Smooth drive on rough roads

A very retro looking SUV built by the Toyota Company was released in the market in 2006 as a 2007 model with features reminiscent of the original Toyota FJ40 Land Cruisers.

The Toyota FJ Cruiser was sold only in North America but now available all over the country as they went in for production six months thereon. This was thanks to the amount of positive response and excitement received at the North American International Auto show.

All the cars in this model are built by Hino Motors in Japan. It is a compact 2 door SUV that is ideal for families with children or those who enjoy long drives across rugged terrain.

The Toyota FJ Cruiser still retains the signature FJ is its name, which was the internal code name given 50 years ago. This vehicle is said to be the most distinctive and capable 4X4 in the Toyota lineup and is said to be priced below the other Land cruisers making it affordable to a far wider range of buyers.

The base model of the FJ Cruiser offers two wheel drive; five speed automatic and other is the six speed model that includes a clutch start and a cancel feature as well.

Regardless of the change in models and features, the Toyota FJ Cruiser works on a 4.0Liter, V6 engine which can manage upto 239 horsepower at nearly 5200 rpm making it ideal for long drives on unexplored terrain.

The FJ cruiser is currently available to buyers in 5 colors, and has some other features such as with cruise control, power outside mirrors, and daytime running lights. Other options such as roof rack, front skid plate, front seat mounted air bags are all what make this cruiser so popular. Even though its based on the 4Runner, it’s a car that’s a class apart.
