Since then, Slipstream Global Marketing tied up with Yokohama Tire Corporation and brought the D1 Grand Prix All Star Invitational to the United States. Today, the D1 Grand Prix is the only accepted international pro drifting series in the globe.

Formula Drift, Inc is the first-ever organization that holds professional drifting series tagged as ‘Formula D’. Formula D is also known as Formula Drifting or Formula Drift. Its first few series started out in 2003 but Formula D events did not take place up until the year 2004. The first professional Formula Drift event was held in Road Atlanta in Georgia on April 2004.

Since the first event in Road Atlanta, a lot of additional tracks were added. There have been seven more venues that were added to the series in 2004 alone. As years go by, more and more tracks are being added.
