They are technically correct, although i don't know if I would want that vehicle after. That is basically the nightmare scenario of maximum damage that's still repairable. In reality, it could still be done correctly if done by a reputable body shop. The problem is that they are probably going to get used parts which you can't do much about. The fenders and hood can be bought aftermarket and they probably will. There isn't much potential for nagging electric problems after those repairs because of the location of the damage.

Im kinda stuck at what I should do. I dont want to deal with issues down the road because of this. Should I can another opinion or just hope everything gets done right and that they are being honest about the repairs?

You don't really have anything to say about it. If that's the route they choose, you have no choice but to accept it or sue them.

Perhaps state by state you should at least be able to insist on brand new GM parts, no used or cloned junk if under 1 year. Hope if you keep your cars you can negotiate a total loss as good as anyone can do paint will not age the same for the long run AND don't forget that now that car is tagged as fixed up and it's value is reduced to YOU fixed! Make sure you get that factored in to the loss amount! People forget that and insurance hopes you do.

Think - You are looking to buy that car in a year and find this out vs another that nothing happened. Which would you pay more for?
