I have a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix LE 3.1 Liter. It has about 76,000 miles on it.
The hood is jammed shut. Pulling the cable next to the driver's seat won't release it. With crow bar leverage it's clear the connection is toward the center and front of the hood, just behind where the manual latch is. Can't drive it in as battery is dead. Don't want to tow. Ideas?

This can be a serious pest to get at from under side, even lube from underside and have someone carefully sit or put downward pressure on hood while pulling the release and holding it and get it to make the first pop up.

Not kidding, some are a real pain for lack of lubing the thing usually or possibly bent somehow.

BTW - you can either make one up or hunt down a plain "double male - fused" power port/cig lighter jumper and charge the battery that way without opening the hood.

That would at least get you going if only a dead battery that will take a charge to get it where you can get it overhead to see what to trip for the hood. Some can take out or go thru grilles - each a bit different.

Low amp charge the thing not fast that way and a charger that auto shuts off when done. May take a whole day.

Right now I think brand is Black and Decker at Home Depot by name has a water proof low amp charger maintainer both and automatic shut off when done. Just bought another recently, $29.99 in the tools section - ask if needed. Small boxed item not out on display,
