72 Eldorado Paint Checking Sign In

Well, since hammer helped me with the electrical problem, now I have a question on paint. My Eldorado was re-painted once before I bought it, probably a few years before, not sure. In any case, she has seen far more sun this year than the previous owner gave her. In addition, it appears that the paint was applied a bit too thick, and it is now checking. White spots everywhere just started growing as did surface cracks etc... I have tried rubbing compound, wax, Nu-Finish, and even wet-sanded a small spot and rubbed it, but still cant get rid of the check marks. They go way deep. Is there ANY product on the market that would hide them until I can afford the darned $7500 I was quoted to get it stripped and re-painted?
