How accurately have you guys been able to quote prices for collision repair based only on photos/video? I've had some light collision damage, and am trying to get a quote from a couple of professionals by first providing photos before going in to the shops. Do you guys think the prices quoted will be pretty close to actual?

Thank you! Smile

No. Isn't even my trade but NO! Each job really needs to be looked right at up to whatever measuring by machine for up to frame straightening or matching type of paint with what the rest may look like. I can imagine getting quotes and if out of pocket you just know you will only get a guesstimate or a price so high to cover what they can't see you'll lose.

Insurance looks in person AND takes pics and may want pics to prove it was done and more if that's involved.

Go in person with the car or have an appraiser come to you if it isn't drivable figure something out,

Definitely not! Sometimes being right at the vehicle still doesn't expose all the damage. Some disassembly could be necessary.

LMAO - right behind those little door dings they put the $7,000 buck computer for something that cracked, might still work but fail quickly type stuff. Collisions/accidents are just not one size fits all for about any of it. Matching paint work is beyond a trade it's an art even the best of them don't all have.

Said, not my trade but sure knew who was for when I was done (restorations) sometimes wanted jaw dropping awesome work or just make it look only as good as new! Difference in cost if the real job is wild,

T
