2005 Toyota Corolla 280,xxx miles on it. Got into a fender bender but it ripped the actual bumper behind the plastic bumper from where it connects to the frame I guess? I just want to know how dangerous is it to be driving with it like this? It’s not dragging or making any noises and doesn’t feel any different.

Should you be driving it that way? NO.

You have absolutely no protection now for any of the sensitive components in the front of the car. Even a minor bump not will do thousands of dollars in damage.

So it’s going to be over $3k to repair so I’m just going to junk the car for parts so I just want to make sure I’m not going to die behind the wheel somehow so I can still drive it around town this week until I get a new car secured. Not worried about any other damage made really.

You could also get a ticket for driving with no bumper. They are required by law.
