My front rim is bent on the lip Sign In

Hi. I have never posted here and just created the account.
I was coming home from a night out (sober) and went full retard, going through a corner with a bit too much speed and lost control of the car ending up hitting the curb and bending the lip of my left front rim.
There doesn't seem to be a problem with the driving, but I need to drive tomorrow and i'm seriously worried it might not be safe.
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but really wish someone could say something about it.
I don't know much about car mechanics, just enough to know that the tire might lose pressure with bumps and such, and what doesn't seem to be a big problem might turn out to be a sh*tstorm.

I will leave some pics.

This is probably not necessary but I will leave anyway.

From what I saw this is a steel rim with that flaw now and could be bent back on many. Appeared tire was already off - right? If wheel is true and a steel wheel that looks fixable while you wait to me, grind off barbs mostly so you or anyone doesn't get cut by them, spin balance and usual rim seal should be fine. Tire may not be fine,

Thank you for replying so quickly.
What do you mean, tire may not be fine? Can it be damaged? It doesn't appear to have any...
And is it safe to drive a few kilometers before getting it fixed? I don't have the spare with me at the moment...

Tire could be junk and needs looking at itself. It appeared to me it was off the rim in those pics so how do you intend on putting it back on the rim yourself (can be done with tire irons) and if that clever where's the dang spare!
Go get the spare tire and fix rim, check tire and trueness once back on and also for leaks with even soapy water.

Remember the tire must have hit first before it got to metal!

Yes, the wheel is junk but probably safe. Your big concern now is whether there is any damage to the tire itself and whether the impact was hard enough to throw the wheel alignment out to the point it starts wearing the tire rapidly.
