Hello does s car wax also sometimes works as polisher? I found this spot like a burn mark on my b pillar as big as size of a fist. I took it to the body shop and the person just waxed it and it was completely off. I am wondering if it is just wax covering the spot and once wax is off if that spot would show up again or if it is completely removed by waxing and will not appear again. Thanks.

Hard to answer that as you need to know if a flaw is just ON something or a real flaw just covered up temporarily. Some stuff works to remove the problem some doesn't. I think you should have asked what product did - fix it or cover it up, T

so best way for me to check it myself would be to actually go head and use wax remover on that spot and see if that comes up again or not right? If even after applying the remover that spot doesnnt show up then it means its been fixed right?

I can't know from here if the problem was ON the area or damaged the area. Some (anything) stains, marks, flaws or on paints and plastics some are damaged. There are 100s of different products, some really work some are total fakes. Ever see the ad where someone purposely takes a key and gouges out a scratch in paint and instantly fixes it with a quick wipe? That's fake and they get away with that or it wasn't scratched at all. So much bullcrap for products out there it's insane. Pro shops like you went to should know which ones are real and which cover something up which would be fine if it really lasted and looked fine. Careful what you try if it's fine now you may make a problem that's already fine! T

I would suspect that he used something else, like lacquer thinner before the wax. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
