We have an awesome extended cab 1993 F150 with a shell over the bed. Two years ago a flying rock from the lawn mower shattered the back window of the shell and we had it replaced with plexiglass and tinted film. Since that replacement, the sun(?) has reacted with the film and it is totally opaque. My husband is fine driving with just the side view mirrors, but I am uncomfortable driving it when I can't see directly behind. We have tried to pull and scrape the film off, but have been only 10% successful. We can't get any more off trying all kinds of solvents, soaps, blades and fingernails. Anybody have suggestions? We are ready to start moving some stuff a couple hours away on freeways and I'd like to be able to have good visibility. Thanks.

You need to use steam without overheating the glass to loosen the adhesive. That's how the tint shops do it.

Purchase a fabric steamer, it will cost you 20-30 dollars but save your time!
Fill, turn it on, steam your window.
After a while steaming, the glue will melt and the tint will peel off like cellophane.
Once the tint is removed, use any adhesive remover and wipe clean.

Thread is from May, 9th, hope it's all done by now. Plexiglas (brand name of plastic glass) damage may be permanent so nothing but new glass may have solved this one,
