Removing residue from paintwork Sign In

Hi
Ive replaced a bumper that had been "fixed" using duck tape (taping bumper to wing), but the duck tape has left a nice sticky residue (pretty much the same as a plaster / band aid does when you take it off), but the only things I can think of will more than likely remove the paint too

Have you any ideas?

If the paint on bumper is fully cured try out of site products like WD-40, another is Goo-Gone. Slower but safer is cleaner wax - a fav is Meguiars liquid and marked non abrasive cleaner/wax.

Try in conspicuous places. Even non gritty hand cleaner may work without harm. If original paint on bumper you are dealing with it should be much tougher than a repainted one,
