Want to sell 09 damaged truck

I was younger, and have gotten this truck a little messed up.
Right side, 1500-2000 needed to repair or so. So my question is, would it be better to fix this before I get it sold?
Also the Leather(or pleather) seats have been slashed in the rear of the seat by someone, one seat a few inches long and the other seat 4-8 inch cut or two or so. So, I just want to hear some proper advice, I hope you guys give me some great tips. As is I would want around 7? If fixed, like 8 grand or so. Well maybe a rebuilt civic coupe 2007 for my next car. Less fuel costs/ maintenance as well i guess, give me some tips!

Well in fair condition the truck is worth about $8,800 and in excellent shape its a little over $10k. So the question for you is if someone pay you the extra money you need to fix the the damage.
In my opinion I think it might be worth selling it as is, for the reason that its a 6yr old truck almost 7, with 60k miles. And most people looking to get an older truck are more concerned with the engine condition then the look of the truck. I guess it will come down to the overall condition of the truck and what someone is willing to pay.
You might want to try and see if a dealer would do a swap for the civic, as its an older and cheaper car. Never know. Hope this helps a little.

Cosmetic damage like that can really hurt in a sale or may discourage interest altogether. You might be able to find a used seat in the junkyard to match yours. The body work may be a bit more difficult to get done reasonably and still have some quality.

Do you have a real pro estimate of cost of damage body and seat upholstery?
Body if sheet metal damage and on your own dime is fixing or total panels/a door issue needed to fix? Cost would vary wildly then either way overall value vs one that never had damage is lower almost always but by how much unknown.
If you are not making use it as a truck the regular cab really suggests it's attractive to work with not so great for a people carrying vehicle of course so a different buying group.
I fear if you can't find a used same color whole seat you may be wildly shocked at what a real upholster fix would cost.
Trading would be the easiest for you as you said you don't really want the type vehicle at all but fetch the least value but it's over for you in second too.
Just nicer if you really know the real cost of fixing damage as it's going to matter a lot,

lets do the math-the way a buyer would...
we have an $8k - $9K $ USED truck with @3k$ 'damage' ....
figuring in the unknown..
I think 8K is a 'tad' high expectation...
