custom built driver seats Sign In

I'm 6'9" and can't find a vehicle I'm truly comfortable in. One of the most common issues in vehicles that otherwise fit me is that the headrests hit me in the shoulders or neck. People suggest that I should customize the headrests. But I have no idea how to do that or who could do that. Do you know how to safely adjust a driver headrest so it's about 3-6 inches higher than the typical max height? Do you know someone in the DC area who could help me with this?
Or if you know of a vehicle that has higher headrests already, please let me know. Also need a steering column that will telescope out far enough for me to reach it while having my seat pushed all the way back. Still on the search.

Thanks very much for any help.

I really don't know where you would go on that.

It's about impossible to extend the headrest as the telescoping bars are made right into the frame of the headrest.
As for the telescoping steering wheel, most of them do not have much range for that.

Hmmm? It's a real problem. To add the seats in anything for quite some time are all wired to the cars and trucks so a total different one really doesn't work a whole different vehicle would.
Have to ask if you are looking for new or used too?
Knew of a few but the answer was a car not sold anymore for one. Shocked to find it was a VW Beetle and I mean the air cooled Bug were around like litter once.
If new ask dealerships what is done it can't be that uncommon. I think you are the first at this site with this question and I'm trying to think of something realistically newer than I recall was no problem but the cars WERE ENORMOUS.
Have you just tried the Trucks? Everything gets called a truck about now so I mean a more real truck (I don't see them but own one) no features just bare bones real work things are about gone till unreasonable for just a vehicle.
Stinks - so many packages with features would change seating styles I think you need to head out and try vehicles can't see how you'd know without doing that in person. It's not impossible without having to get some pop up van thing IMO you should be in range for something already OK for you,
