Unless you have positively identified a leak, then you are well on your way to throwing parts at it that you can't afford. We can't see or test your car so until someone with some knowledge does that, you will be just throwing (unnecessary) parts at the problem.

HT knows a lot more than you think, so watch it.

Definitely have to fix the leak. What is leaking? The "restrictors" are called proportioning valve.

That is split diagonal braking. How did you determine the rears aren't working? Have you removed the drums and inspected the brakes, hydraulics, and hardware?

Thanks for the response. The car is not stopping like it should. The front rotors get hot and the front shakes when starting and stopping moderately. I dont live in a big city so we dont start and stop all the time. Can also feel under heavy braking that its all front brakes. Have not taken the rear wheels off, but I got under it to see where the brake fluid was leaking. It came from the front of the car and in the picture (sorry for the low light) you can see the lower line closer to the firewall is still wet.

You got to repair the leak. You should also remove the rear drums and inspect that stuff. If you have a leak, your losing not only fluid, but pressure.

Its not leaking anymore. It just stopped on its own. Shortly after I noticed the issue the "low fluid level brake light" came on and I filled it back up. I had to fill it twice. The last time I filled it up was about 3 weeks ago and its still full. When it was leaking it was consistent and needed to be filled about once every 5 days. Its driven about 15 miles a day 6 days a week. So it was driven about 180 miles and needed fluid twice and then the last 270 miles it has not leaked at all.
We have had this car for about 3.5 years and its never needed fluid before this. I put all new brake hoses (rubber), front pads, and turned the rotors about two years ago.

You have a brake fluid leak. You got to find out where it is leaking or was leaking and fix that. You don't keep driving the car if you think the leak stopped because you don't have to add brake fluid anymore. Your going to kill yourself or someone.

You need to have the entire brake system inspected and all the problems found and repaired.

Someone who knows something, huh?

I know one thing that you apparently don't. That is a diagonal system so the 2 rear wheels operate from different sections of the master cylinder so it is highly unlikely that you have lost both rear wheels. As I said the first time, until someone that actually knows what they are doing inspects the car, you are going to be wild guessing. You have a serious leak that would have been found by a professional in the first 5 minutes.

What is up with the post deleted stuff at the top of the thread?

VapersWin, If you are trying to delete your thread because you think we are trying to make you look like a dumbass when we are actually trying to help you out and probably save lives, you can ask us to delete the thread for you if HT agrees to it.

Apparently he's just an idiot.

I'm just going to lock it so he doesn't change anything else and everyone can see what an idiot he is.
