01 Honda Accord Brake Problem Sign In

So this weekend I took on doing some brake job for my 2001 Honda Accord. I changed both of my front caliper with new ones, installed new rotors and new brake pads. Since I installed new calipers, I though it would be good idea to flush the brake fuild and get rid of the old oil while I am at it. So, I went on bleeding the brakes to flow out the old oil. I started from the farthest wheel (rear passenger) and used vacuum bleeder kit. When I opened the bleeding screw after hooking up the the vacuum bleeder kit to the screw, nothing came out!! I went on doing it for few times, but nothing worked.

So I moved to the closest one to the master cylinder (front driver side which received new caliper, rotor, and pads) and repeated the bleeding process. Again, nothing came out!! So then, I went on to use the good old manual bleeding method of pumping the brakes and opening the valve. And again, nothing worked!!  So going down the stupidity road I was already on, I unscrewed the brake line from caliper hoping that the oil will flow from it freely when let loose. There was nothing coming out. My partner then pumped up the brakes while brake line was unscrewedand and noticed that when he pressed the brake paddle, the oil came out and when it was let go, the oil stopped. Is this normal??? Should there be free flow of oil when the line was unscrewed from the caliper??

Lastly, now when I hooked everything back (connected the brake line to the caliper, tightened the bleeder screw, etc) and when I pressed on the brake, there was no pressure at all. The brakes are spongy and not doing anything....PLEASE HELP!!!
