2002 Audi A6 rear brakes cost. Sign In

Hi, I recently brought my Audi A6 in for inspection. Mechanic said the rear brakes needed to be replaced. So in the end the cost to around 1200 CAD.
The breakdown for labor and parts comes to roughly 600 each.

They charge 95/hour labor.

2 rear calipers= $227.5 labor, $354 parts
2 rear disc rotors= $209 labor, $127.88 parts
1 rear pad= $123.50 labor, $65.33 parts

This is in Canadian currency. Just want to know if I'm getting ripped off, or it's reasonable priced.

Thank you.

(edit in) One post please on same subject. Other is out of sight now so not confused with assorted posts on same subject)

Just looked, exchange rate puts the $Canadian @ .76 cents USD today. Still pricey IMO. I can't argue parts costs but don't think this is that much time to do the job by the book time if this shop goes by that. Some guess based on age and aggravations newer cars wouldn't have,

Get some quotes from some other shops in your area and then compare.

You can get other quotes but you bought an Audi and you can't let just anyone work on that. If repair costs were an issue for you, you bought the wrong car.
