Brake Servo Sealing Grommet? Sign In

Skoda Octavia Ambiente Estate TDI 1.9 approx 110.00 miles

My brake servo stopped working because the sealing grommet that sits in the bulkhead corroded and stopped being a seal. It is where the servo pipe meets the bulkhead and the grommet sits in the hole in the bulkhead so that the pipe can sit comfortably in it. Does anybody know if the grommet can be purchased as a part on its own or does the entire pipe need to be purchased? It is a Bosch part and the only identifying numbers on it are MR 67 and EPDM. If this part can be found, where on earth could I find it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Best wishes

US based site so doing some guessing.

Servo: You mean what we call a "master cylinder" I think?
Bulkhead: You mean the "firewall" end of that cylinder - right?
If leaking brake fluid there you toss the whole unit for new not just some seal by all chances the basic design is similar to all vehicles and bleed system properly,

I'm wondering if the OP means brake booster or vacuum servo? You could probably make a seal to go between the firewall and where the booster connects out of rubber or gasket material. The only thing it should be sealed for is to keep water out of the cabin.

I should know the right terms DS. OP (original poster) if this lost vacuum assist is one problem or if brake fluid loss another. That rubber grommet to booster where a check valve goes might be sold separately but if the booster is corroded you should want a whole new one.

Need some clarification on just what your problem is. High chances this is vacuum assisted power brakes. If you can post a picture of the parts it would help. I don't know how to look up parts for this car from here,
