Brake nightmare Sign In

I have a GMC Sierra 2003 4.8 Litre 2 wheel drive around 300k kilometers and here is my issue. Went to pull out of the driveway and lost brakes found brake fluid leaking from right side and the cord had a large gash in it like someone slashed it or it blew up. Changed that brake cord for a new one bled the brakes and got no brakes nothing but air. So checked the drivers side and found a burst cord on that side as well, replaced it bled it and got no brakes nothing but air. Am I skipping a step or is there something else wrong?

Do I need to bleed each brake from back to front?

Yes, the entire system has to be bled multiple times and then will likely have to be electronically bled using a bidirectional scan tool to get the air out of the ABS unit.
