Break fluid dirty/murky Sign In

Hello all I have a
2002 PT Cruiser 2.4 DOHC with 106K

I am having a issue with the breaks so here is my short story

A few months ago I had noticed the the breaks were losing pressure so I opened up the hood to find the the break fluid was dirty or murky.
On the advice of a good friend of mine we put the car up and flushed out all the dirty fluid. This fixed the problem right away!
However about a month later I noticed I had lost pressure yet again.
At this point I thought OK maybe a air bubble or low fluid. Nope!! The same issue! Dirty fluid yet again. So I went ahead and did yet another flush thinking OK maybe we left some in the calipers or something. All was fine for a week or so and now its back up to its old tricks! Losing break pressure . I have noticed if i pump the break once or twice it will build up pressure. Also it seems that it takes longer for the car to stop.

I have been told it could be 3 or 4 different things from bad break lines to bad seals in the calipers or break drums. and of course the master cylinder

If anyone has had this happen before or has a better idea i would greatly appreciate it

Drum or disc in the rear? Have you inspected the braking components? Brake pads wearing evenly? Caliper slide pins free? Caliper piston boot in good shape and not folding up or torn? Caliper pistons retract easily? If drums, how is the hardware? Are the wheel cylinders seized?

Everything seems OK to me. the pads on the front both are in great shape and wearing evenly the drum breaks on the rear are all good as well.

Don't think it would be a brake line. If a line was leaking, you would see loss of fluid. Air getting sucked in from a faulty wheel cylinder seal or caliper seal is a possibility. Masters can have intermittent seal issues causing loss of pedal pressure or sinking pedals.

When I bleed them no air is in the lines. Just dirty fluid someone told me that if the seals are going up or the O rings inside the master cylinder would cause the fluid to keep getting murky or black
I am just at a lose I don't want to get a new break cylinder if I don't need it.

If you are not getting air when your bleeding the brakes and the pedal is still acting spongy, I'd suspect a master cylinder.
