I have a 2004 Gran Am, 3.1 liter engine, with 250,000 miles on it. Last May my driver side front brake pads wore out. I found out the caliper was stuck, continually on. I replaced the caliper and pads on both front wheels. Since I have had to replace my pads 2 more times and am needing to replace them again. It is always the driver side that wears out. I seems like the passenger side wears faster than it should, but never as fast as the driver side, and since I always replace both sides at the same time, I don't know for sure. What other than a faulty caliper would cause such fast pad wear?

Replace the 2 front flex brake hoses. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
