I just recently changed my master brake cylinder and i did not have the necessary items to bench bleed so it was put on dry. Figured i could just bleed all the air out. More time consuming but manageable due to the circumstances. Once on i bled each brake multiple times and tried to move but brakes did not work at all. After more bleeding my brakes will pump up but lose the pressure very quickly. I believe i have air in my abs but i cannot take my car to a shop. One question i have is will all the air bubbles eventually come out of my abs if i continue to bleed or is it pointless without the abs scan tool???? I will go through quarts if it will work! All advice is appreciated greatly

IMO this is now open to a series of possible problems not ready with tools/equipment to do this at all but did it anyway! Why? Air can hide and not bleed out and a dry new master may have self destructed or just pumped air throughout.

I can't think of a solution short of sending this out now by towing it as needed to start all over finding out first what the original problem really was on thru to what troubles were probably caused by a dry new master installed and attempted.

Bummer - you weren't ready to do this job is now the problem as I see it to figure out how to and what to do to get this back to working?

Most ABS systems require electronic bleeding using a bidirectional scan tool that opens internal solenoids sequentially, although it isn't listed under this vehicle.

It will probably require a pressure bleeder to get all the air out.

The reason the it got changed at all was because the sensor for fluid level was out couldn't just replace sensor as it was built into the master. The one time i took it to a “professional” mechanic at honda they talked around the tasks asked about my car n even went on to tell me i need to have my engine steam cleaned so he could better see inside so i wonder why id rather not have gone back after googling steam cleaning and finding out thats a way to totally F**k my engine wiring. The master cylinder was bled after it was put on thus pushing any air into the system. There wasn't any major issue besides the light staying on because the sensor. Thats WHY. I simply asked if i could just continue to try n pump would it be pointless or if enough brake fluid could eventually clear out every last bubble

Your question was answered. Just because you don't like the answer doesn't make it wrong.

You've made the problem worse. If you don't want to pay a professional to bleed it out, then I suggest you take the bus.

I'm closing this question now as it is going nowhere.
