Mazda Mx3 Caliper issue

1993 Mazda Mx3 Just trying to put my calipers back on after having replaced the axle and for whatever reason the slide pin won't go through far enough for me to thread it into the hole. So, I can't attach my calipers. Ive tried pushing the boots back and forth and compressing them, but there's a hollow metal tube that just slides back/forth and its simply too long for my bolt to go through all the way. Im losing my mind. This should be so simple.

It will work. It looks like you might have something extra under the head of the bolt making it shorter. The caliper slides on that bushing. Either way it looks like you have enough bolt sticking out to get it attached. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
