Nissan Juke 1.6 diesel ABS ECU error

I have a 2011 Nissan Juke 1.6 diesel and the ABS error indicator is on all the time. It started intermittently and now will not go off. I have taken it to a garage and they say the ABS ECU needs replacing. Has anyone else had this issue with the Juke. The garage say the error code they have on the diagnostic is the same as the one for the Nissan X trail ABS ECU and means it is faulty. Any help welcome

I wouldn't be so fast to blame any specific part just on a code for a circuit. Heck it would show an error if you unplugged it too!
Before that I'd be sure all connections are good and check at wheels for wiring and sensors that might be wrong, dirty even can be intermittent.
Don't think this model of Nissan is sold to the US but doesn't really matter - I'd check more before blaming a component,
