hello I have a jeep cj 7 that I removed the rear brakes and lines since they were defective and as a hunt buggy we travel 5mph. I installed a new factory spec MC and attached one front brake line to port 1 in MC and second front brake to port 2. no other lines involved. I bench bled the MC then bled bot front brakes so I'm sure there is no air in system. pedal goes almost to floor witbh minimal braking. what am I doing wrong? tha nks Tim H

OK - I'm the designated crystal ball reader and mind reader for this: Understood, off road use only creation. It would still help to know what year this is/was and still would like to know what was so messed up with the back brakes that you didn't keep them? If nothing else the rear brakes are also your parking brake and would think you'd want that so this monster doesn't just run away on you somewhere out in the boonies as leaving it in park or in gear can fail. If really mudding it, rock climbing you might find dragging parking brake also helps get you out of a hole or something. Near all parts in total are dirt cheap. OK - guess D'Jour ("of the day") is it's disc front, drum rear unless once belonged to Fred Flintstone? Master's larger reservoir is for front brakes and if you insist on just fronts just use that port and plug the smaller one off but keep it full of fluid anyway and bleed it out just because I'm still thinking. You'll have to find a splitter to divide the front line either create something or use the existing proportioning valve with plugs again for anything to rear at least to keep crap out. Other: Don't know what you did to remove rear but if you had just pinched off line at that proportioning valve or plugged it there it should have behaved and had pedal for just fronts. I'd want a parking brake which mean put back rear brakes and yes needs cables that aren't all frozen too. Ask, you can buy that stuff and make your own! Same with brake hydraulic lines you can use just copper and compression fittings like for a refrigerator's water/ice maker stuff. NOT LEGAL FOR ANY STREET LEGAL ANYTHING but ok if just this off road creation, T
