2002 Ford Ranger Single cab, 2WD, 3.0L 80,000 miles 15' Eagle Alloy Wheels, new in 2005 Hi, one of my right wheels (I think it's the right front) has been squeaking intermittently. It squeaks with the rotations of the wheel, so I hear it better at low speeds. It also makes the same squeak at the top of the travel of the brake pedal. In other words, just as I start to press the pedal it will squeak, but not when I firmly apply the brakes. A year or so ago I slammed the right front wheel into a curb pretty hard and later the alignment shop told me it was 'out of round'. I since rotated the wheels and did it again with the new right front. Since the second time I hit a curb it has started squeaking. What do you think could be causing this? The squeaking seems to be getting louder and more frequent. Thanks for your help!

Sounds like the warning sensors on the brake pads are hitting. You need to have the brakes inspected to determine for sure. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
