1988 Honda Accord LX - Rattling noise around the Belts Sign In

There's a very annoying rattling sound coming from somewhere around the two belts, closer to the driver side of the car. I know its not the belts themselves, because they have recently been replaced. What else could this noise be coming from? Anything helps, as I know sometimes it takes someone to actually look at a car to tell the problems. Anyhow, thanks in advance for any help....

Remove the belts a spin each pulley by hand. You should be able to hear a noise is it is one of them pulley bearings going bad. Start the car and see if the noise is still there with the belts off. If it is the it may be something further in like timing belt pulley. I think the oil pump and water pump is timing belt driven on this car so this could also be a possible noise problem.

maybe the belts are too tight on there

another possibility I know from of owning hondas is
are those little bolts underneath that hold the heat shields in place
on the hondas they will rust away and your shields will be flaping away
up against the exhaust
