This van makes a low moaning/groaning sound when turning the steering wheel in either direction. It only does this after the engine (3.3) has been warmed up, running for about a half hour or so. Vehicle has 117,000 miles on it. Was a Florida vehicle all of its life until the past year, now its a Michigan van. The power steering fluid is not low and not leaking. Someone has suggested to me that this might be the rack and pinion, does anybody else have any idea what might be causing this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It could be a binding or groaning rack but it could also be a bad pump. Your going to have to listen closely under the hood while someone else turns the steering wheel so you can determine where the noise is coming from.
