Having some trouble with my timing on my car. I'm pretty mechanically inclined that was built trucks cars in the ground up but I've never done that you should come over placing a timing belt. But I finally found all the marks it seems like they're all on but I'm not completely confident that the marks are correct anybody know or I can get the actual diagram?

What are you using for service information? There is a special procedure and tool for adjusting the belt tension. If you screw it up, you'll end up with bent valves.

The two timing marks (1) at the crank should be lined up when you have the belt installed

Yes I used the same diagram as you posted and everything seems to line up just fine but when I put everything togetehr but when I turn the motor around by hand when the compression stops at tdc the two cams are just past the mark the same distance apart

If you have the all the marks lined up, they should be lined up again after two revolutions of the crankshaft.

Did you use the special tool to adjust the tensioner pulley before you pulled the grenade pin? Sometimes the timing belt kits come with the instructions on how to install the belt. If you didn't replace the water pump, you should do that.

Quote
6. Using Special Tool MD 998767, or equivalent and a torque wrench on the tensioner pulley. Apply 4.4 Nm (38.9 inch lbs.) of torque to tensioner. Tighten tensioner pulley bolt to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
7. With torque being applied to the tensioner pulley install the tensioner to the tensioner pulley bracket and tighten fasteners to 23 Nm (205 inch lbs.).
8. Pull tensioner plunger pin.
9. Rotate crankshaft 2 revolutions in a clockwise direction ONLY and check the alignment of the timing marks. Install tensioner pin into assembly. The pin should slide in and out without any resistance. If the pin does not slide freely, perform the procedure again.
