I have a 1996 ford explorer V6 manual transmission with about 130,000 miles on it. It has just recently started making a squeaking or creaking noise in the area of the left front tire. I have no idea what it is. It makes this noise anytime I go over any bump, when I turn in any direction, and I can get out and lift up or push down on the car by the tire and it does it. I've been told it could be as simple as lubricating my bushings, or it could be the struts or front stabilizer link. Please help

kl; You could start by buying a can of silicone spray and spray all of the rubber bushings. Dry ball joints and tie rod ends can make a creaking type noise, but you probably don't have any grease fittings on those parts on this vehicle. If the spray doesn't help, at least temporarily, you can take it to a shop that can inject some grease into the ball joints and tie rods, one at a time, until the noise goes away to figure out which one is causing the noise. The grease can be injected with a needle type attachment to the lube gun. Loren SW Washington
