1999 Silhouette Braking Noise

I am getting a knock in the rear end of a 99 Olds Silhouette. When traveling at relatively low speeds I get a rotational knock when braking at about half pedal. The knock goes away when i apply full pressure to the pedal and it is definitely happening in relation to the rotation of one of the rear wheels but i can't see anything wrong. Tried cleaning up the rear brake assemblies but it isn't solving the problem.

Rear disc brakes - right? If just pads were replaced once and not service or replacement of rotor a rust ring unseen on the outer edge of rotor can cause this. If you can't get a good look at the inside of the rotor then take if off for inspection and replacement would be best,
