It's still in great shape except for a clunking noise in the driver side front end (on bumpy roads and while turning slowly). I changed the driver side control arm in an attempt to stop the noise and inspected some other front end components. I discovered play in the shaft near the inner boot going into steering rack. The outer tie rod end seems fine, and I was wondering if their is an inner tie rod (I can't see inside the boot, and I haven't found any for sale online) that I could replace, unless 1/8 on an inch of play on the tie rod is normal for this model. After changing the control arm (which consisted of two bushings and a ball joint) the noise was better going over bumps but I still get a light clunking, occasionally, during slow turns. Any Ideas?
