2002 dodge stratus irregular rattling noise. Video included Sign In

Hey everyone. I got a 2002 dodge stratus I've been driving for 2 years without any problems in tell now. My serpitine belt was starting to squeel, drove it for a couple days planning on fixing it that next weekend. Couple days before the weekend I heard a loud enough rattling noise to know not to drive it. Thinking it was possibly a loose tensioner for my serpentine belt I removed the belt and started the car again. Unfortunately the noise still persisted! Can't quite pin point it down to a spicific problem. The noise is coming from the front camshaft/timing chain toward the front of the engine. Pulled the 3 front spark plugs out as well to test if that would make a difference but the noise still persisted. Here's a link I uploaded of how my car currently sounds.

My guess so far is a possible timing chain tensioner or a connecting rod. The timing chain seems fairly tight though (has a small amount of play). If you guys have any questions or if I left out any critical information let me know I'll be more then happy to post as much information as possible.
If anyone can point me in the right direction on this problem I would be extremely grateful.
Thanks again for all the help!

Since you refer to front 3 plugs, I have to assume this is a 3.0 V6 engine. This engine uses a timing BELT, not a timing chain and it really sounds like an issue there.

That looks like a 2.7L which is chain.

What is up with the smoke?

That's possible since he never told us whether it was a Coupe or a sedan or the engine size.

Possible broken flex plate?

It's a 2.7 DOHC. Smokes coming from a ciggerett. Engine doesn't seem to be pushing any smoke out itself. Exhaust smoke is clean as well.

Could be a water pump gone bad or maybe timing chain guide came apart also. Those engines are interference. If the chain does go, valves will kiss the top of the pistons.
