Hey guys. We have some 2003 Maximas that are starting to exhibit the same symptoms. They are all 3.5L 255 hp. They all are having a rattling/small thumping sound from the right front inner fender/wheel area. We have replaced struts, mounting bearings and stabilizer links. So far we have 5 vehicles that are doing this. Wer have been told that this might be a common symptom for this car. I don't think that is true as there are too many Maximas out there and the dealer states that that is not a common occurence. Any insight will be greatly appreciated. I checked for TSBs and nothing. Did you look at the stabilizer frame bushings? Ball joints? inner tie rod ends? rack and pinion mount bushings? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
