My truck has a 5.3 engine with 51000 miles. Each time I start the truck, drop it in first and start moving, about the same time it changes from first gear to second it make a sound around the engine. Sounds like a swallowing/gulping/whooshing sound. The dealer ruled out the transmission as it doesn't always make the sound on the shift. And you have to turn the engine off and restart it and start moving forward and at the speed of about when a shift occurs, it makes the sound. Only makes it when you stop and turn the engine off. If you stop and leave the engine running and start back rolling, it won't make the sound. It's not loud and you can almost feel the noise in your hands when it makes it. The dealer struck out, they didn't know what it was. Could it be the oil pump pushing oil thru the engine to catch it back up to correct oil pressure? I use fram oil filters which I'm told doesn't have the anti drain feature built-in. Engine doesn't tick or make any other mechanical noises otherwise. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
