Today, during my daily commute my car started making horrible grinding noises. Best way I can describe it is it sounds like metal scratching on metal. The noise happens only when the car is moving, even in low speeds. I am positive that it comes from my front left tire and the noise is not caused by braking or steering, only when the car is moving. I was really worried at first but oddly enough, the noise went dead when I continued to drive for about 5 minutes. The car drives and feels normal again. Should I still be worried?

You might have had a stone caught in the brakes but you should have the wheel removed and the brakes inspected. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
