I have a pontiac 2007 G6. 52,500 V6, had the car now for about a year and a half, no problems to start, then after six months accelleration started becoming poor, and the car hesitated before swithching gears....even if you you put your foot down on the pedal, it still took some time for it to gear change....it seems like it has no power anymore. Then last week, i had the transmission filter changed, and that day the car started a high pitched squealing between 20 mph and about 40 mph, every few days. Today when i drove it it squealed the whole way to work and back....the squealing is not the breaks, and i took it back and they said it is not the recent filter change, no leaks in the tranny. Also this past winter my husband burned a hole in the air conditioner condenser, with a siren box for fire dept, so this summer, they tried to plug it with freon, and also used leak stop to plug the hole, which worked for the a/c but now the car runs hotter, and sucks down the antifreeze. Not sure if this is connected or not, but you said write down everything that could be recent or related. Vehicle does NOT overheat, just runs a little higher, and the fans kick on, (about 250 degrees) Thanks a bunch

Sounds like you have a few things going on there. I think I would start with the overheating problem 1st. You said it was running hot & using coolant. Sounds like you may have a coolant leak & if its leaking on to your serp belt that could account for the squeel you are getting. The car has fairly low miles but considering the hesitation problem you're having, putting in some plugs, changing the filters & cleaning the injectors & air intake system might not be a bad idea.
Just curious how you know the fans are coming on @ 250°? Are you using a scanner or going by the gauge on the dash?
FYI the fans should be coming on in the 225° range.....
