'98 grand am noise

hi. My '98 grand am v6 has been making a clicking noise. It is heard slightly when starting the engine, but after I begin to drive it is only heard when I accelerate. It stops when I'm not accelerating, or when I have driven for about 3 minutes. It sounds like a click or tick. I don't think that I would describe it as a knock. I'm hoping it's not an engine problem

Things to check: Air intake parts - loose maybe? Exhaust heat shields can make intermittent or constant noises too that sould like big problems, T
