Please have a look at the video and give me your diagnosis.
Power steering pump? Or is there just no way to know until you start pulling it apart?

I would remove the drive belt and run it for a minute to see if the noise is still there. If so, it is likely in the timing belt area and you should stop driving it right away.
Can't tell you mush more since you neglected to post year, make, model and engine size

Oops! I read the rules and still forgot! Im so sorry.
2002 Mitsubushi Outlander XLS 2.4L 4 cyl
I replaced the timing belt about 8 months ago. Everything went fine. I was hoping this was maybe a power steering pump issue?

I told you how to find out. It sounds more like a water pump.

Pulled the belt and the squeaking stopped so its been isolated to the serpentine belt system and not the timing belt.
The water pump was not leaking but the pulley had quite a bit of side to side play. Looks like maybe that bearing is toast. So looks like I'm removing the timing belt again. Yay.

Water pump bearings don't allow for any noticeable play - even if not the primary noise it has to go,

You should be able to spin each pulley by hand and either hear or feel the roughness.

Lesson learned. If your doing a timing belt service, replace water pump if you have to remove the timing belt to get it off.
Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Yes. Absolutely. I agree with that 100%. And my rationale for not doing it when I replaced the timing belt a year ago was 1, because it wasn't leaking and 2 I was getting ready to sell the car. 2 didn't happen for financial reasons.

So new water pump is in and squeak (or squall) is gone. Looks like the impeller was rubbing the inside of the pump due to the faulty bearing.
