I had my VW GOLF (2003) serviced/MOT this week.

When I drove away I noticed an annoying knocking sound which seems to come from the door area.
When reversing last night into our bay, the knocking seemed to move and come from the rear of the cabin?

There is also a very loud whiney noise when I reversed to park and a high pitched whitle when I break but this is as loud, but can be heard clearly when breaking.

I also noticed that all four centre caps on my alloy wheels seem to be corroding at the edges, it looks like whatever they used to clean the wheels has caused this to happen as all four are exactly the same and the paint is flaking and definatelty was not there when I took it in.

Can whatever corrosive material they used to get my alloys so shinny be causing these problems?

The simple answer is ------no. Something previously has caused your problems.
