New brakes grinding Sign In

I just replaces front pads & rotors on my 1993 Ford Escort wagon and the drivers front wheel still grinds with every turn of the wheel? Any ideas guys!!!Crazy

Assuming you have the right parts and they are installed correctly, check the sheet metal backing plate to see if it's too close to the rotor in one place.

That splash shield as Hammer Time mentioned is the most common if all things are installed properly.

Somewhat rare but if the wheels are not the correct ones for that car the calipers can rub if the "dishing" of the wheel is not correct,

He's using the same calipers and wheels he started with.

Caliper is in a new position and may have cleared wheels with worn pads and might not now. Just on the maybe list. Has happened to me and car couldn't be driven at all so put the old worn pads back on till correct wheels were availalbe,
