2000 Pont Bonneville, I have a 2000 Pont. Bonneville, I'm having trouble finding the source of a noise my passenger side front tire is making. It grinds when the wheel is turning. After having it to several repairmen and spending a large sum of money it is still making the same noise. So far i've replaced the hub, inner axel, new tires, spacer bar, coil spring, shocks, struts and brakes. I would appreciate some advance or suggestions.

If it grinds on turns, then it's likely just the backing plate being too close to the rotor and touching it when the rotor leans a little. Pull the backing place away from the rotor a little and try it again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Those backing plates were once the common source by vehicles that were messed with other than myself - now long retired. If so you can see it's too close and sometimes by hand you can move those. Usually caused by mis locating a floor jack to lower control arm! T
