I ran over a curb today (it looked like a drive way and then on the other side just dropped down like the gravel had just worn away and left the beginning of a sideway, I wasn't drunk). It scraped the bottom of the car pretty bad, and I now I think that car's a little louder that it was before. It starts to kind of "roar" when I accelerate, and backs off with the noises when I let off the gas. What's the cause of this? I'm leaving on a 5 hour drive in 4 days; is this something I should be worried about? I don't have any money to get it fixed. Will I be alright to go and see my family for Thanksgiving? Thanks so much, Stressed.

There's no telling without taking a look at what was damaged. Exhaust parts probably are the noise now and the fix is unknown without looking at the damage. If you can safely get under there to look - great. If not, go get it up on a lift and see if this problem looks like an emergency or could be patched for now and if it should be driven at all until fixed, Happy Thanksgiving I hope, T
