Rumbly Growl sound from Engine, Advice Anyone? Sign In

Hello,
My car has begun to make an awful sound. After driving it for a little ways I hear a rattle type noise that gets louder as it continues. The sound is a mix between a rattle or a growl. It reminds me of how a giant cat would sound if it was purring heavily. I have a small oil leak and a leak in the transmission fluid pan. So I checked the transmission and oil to see if it was low, hoping that might be the problem. The fluids were both low and I fixed that. However, the sound continues. I hope someone can give me some advice. Thanks

This sounds more like a belt driven item. Look while at idle and remove belt and check the pulleys,
