Strange start up whirring..

Hey there. I have a 2006 Ford Fusion with a 3.0L engine. It has 57,000 miles on it. When I turn the key there is a high pitched whirring noise when the starter kicks in. Then it starts up. It has never not started after doing so and it runs fine. It doesn't usually do this. Anyone know what it could be?

Sounds like it could be a bad starter but you should have a professional listen to it to confirm that.
